8.0 and samba-2.24 - compile fails --with-ldapsam - openSUSE Users

      Hi 

running SuSE 8.0 with kernel 2.4.18-4GB.
Compile run of samba-2.2.4 fails with option "--with-ldapsam" 
error "checking whether or not getgroups returns EGID too many times... yes" 

Anybody seen this before ? Any ideas ?
