This may seem like a lot of work and/or even just plain wrong or dumb, but what about just taking snapshots as you need, and using something like ffmpeg or something like that to splice them together to make a little movie? so, forget the ns logo (it was just an example). The problem is that I don't know how to do this in linux. How to grab images in movement into my screen? a. John escreveu:

I just tried it with ksnapshot, and it worked fine. I had to checkmark the little box for 'grab window with pointer' and made it wait 2 seconds I had it set for 2 seconds for something else, but should work with any time you put in there). Save them to some new empty directory and then use ffmpg to put them all together I've not used ffmpg, but you should be able to find instructions somewhere for it, like ffmpg --help maybe?). I'd say don't even bother trying to do this with Linux. Unfortunately I dno't know of any tools that allows you to do this cleanly on Linux I would simply Use Windows and use some X Server to XDMCP into a Linux box. Then I would use a Wnidows product (something like camtasia) to caputre the avi. Trying to do it with Linux is going to take you weeks to do something that you can do with Windows within minutes. Trying to capture mouse movements etc would be hard and would require a lot of tweaking. If you would rather want a flash player video instead of avi, try this: http://www.unixuser.org/~euske/vnc2swf/ I haven't tried this so I don't know how it works. If you have any success with it, please let me know! Salman
