enter?
the bios memory should be retained by a battery lift
the contact and put it back and it should reset
it...of course you will have to open the box so if you
have warranty CALL FIRST

On a desktop, you could go into the box and move a jumper around to reset the Bios to its factory state. On a laptop, it's unclear how to do that, but IBM ought to know. They must see this problem often. Or do a Google search on "thinkpad reset bios". I just tried that and saw lots of web pages.

You're right dear George, but the fact of hitting [enter] can't get me in ( as usual ). For your information, the motherboards of the IBM Thinkpad doesn't include a small battery for bios memory. Everyting is manager by an eeprom ;{ Thanx anyway -- Laurent Renard
