Well, you can still use fixed IPs on all the computers if you like, but I'd suggest at least putting a fixed IP on the CUPS server. Some routers even have the ability to assign the same IP to a DHCP client every time, essentially making it fixed. Fixed IP's on all machines. I bought the router so I did not have to leave the server with the dsl connection on all the time.
