Hello :-) I never could be sure of what is exactly in stable inst-source. I mean are they the exact content of the cd/dvd or the updated equivallent? that is is YOU catchin it's data from the standard install-source and is it necessary to make a you update just after a Net install? thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

I assume you mean stable inst-source = FACTORY

It's a superset of the media with: * Additional packages * debuginfo * sources
that is is YOU catchin it's data from the standard install-source and is it necessary to make a you update just after a Net install?
Yes, since we'll freeze the install source once 10.1 is out and updates will be available via the updates repository, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126

for me, stable is "stable release", that is for now 10.0 :-) what I don't know is if the updated packages are loaded in the standard install-source or elsewhere. if it is the install source that is updated, it is no more identical to the cd/dvd (it's better :-) thanks jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://dodin.org/galerie_photo_web/expo/index.html http://lucien.dodin.net http://fr.susewiki.org/index.php?title=Gérer_ses_photos

Ok.
what I don't know is if the updated packages are loaded in the standard install-source or elsewhere.
standard install-source is completely frozen, we only put patches into the updates directory.

Ok, understood now, Andreas -- Andreas Jaeger, aj@suse.de, http://www.suse.de/~aj/ SUSE LINUX Products GmbH, Maxfeldstr. 5, 90409 Nürnberg, Germany GPG fingerprint = 93A3 365E CE47 B889 DF7F FED1 389A 563C C272 A126
