I have a problem with my kernel. I have a new kernel 2.4.17 from kernel.org but I have no idea what patches to apply to my new kernel and in what order for being able to boot with the splash screen ! Any idea from where to download that patches ? A step by step will be beautiful

No patches required. If you are using menuconfig, go: Console drivers -> Frame buffer support and switch on "Support for frame buffer devices (EXPERIMENTAL)" and "VESA VGA graphics console (NEW)" Thats it. make; make install; reboot and say hello to Tux. --Jyry C:-( C:-/ C========8-O C8-/ C:-(
