Is it just me or my setup, or is .9.9 worse than .9.8? I have found so many problems with .9.9's mail program I decided to go back to .9.8. It was more stable for me. I have the same feeling .. i decided also to downgrade .. there seems to be a lot of memory leaks in it, and it's also slower regards Frederik Vos www.vosberg.be

Seemed fairly fast to me but way too easy to crash. Haven't had a chance to play with it again. Nick

I had exactly the same problems with 0.98 and Mozilla Composer so I went back to 0.97 on my SuSE workstation. Red Hat 7.xx RPMs. 0.98 seems to be okay on my Debian machine. I sent some mail up to the appropriate Mozilla lists. It was mostly ignored. As the 1.0 release comes along we would seem to be moving nearer to the dark days of the crashing Netscape saga. I stopped using mozilla for mail, and just downloaded the 9.9 browser. It works fine here in "browser-only" mode. --- $|=1;while(1){print pack("h*",'75861647f302d4560275f6272797f3');sleep(1); for(1..16){for(8,32,8,7){print chr($_);}select(undef,undef,undef,.05);}}

I installed the beast yesterday and i've been running it on all kind of advanced websites with only one flaw: not running QuickTime files. I've checked the mail program and it seems to run just fine. Cheers, HÖ -- www.sacred-eagle.com

I'm running 0.99 now too. I haven't tried it's mail program, but the web browser seems to work OK; it even has anti-aliasing. I encountered a hang though when I accessed of all things a CNN webpage. You'd think that since CNN is a Time-Warner company that advertises Netscape at the top of the screen that it would work! -- The use of COBOL cripples the mind; its teaching should, therefore, be regarded as a criminal offense. -- E. http://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla/releases/mozilla0.9.8/mozilla-i686-pc-lin... But I normally just rename my mozilla directory to add the version number, make a new mozilla folder and install the newest version there. So in this case, I just renamed the new one to mozilla-.9.9, renamed 9.8 to just mozilla, done. Seems a good way. -- Joe & Sesil Morris New Tribes Mission Email Address: Joe_Morris@ntm.org Web Address: http://www.mydestiny.net/~joe_morris Registered Linux user 231871
