mod_perl segmentation fault (SuSE 9.1)
Hello, I am just starting to learn about mod_perl and hit a snag immediately! I installed mod_per via Yast and that seemed to go OK (it automatically picked up 2 or 3 dependencies as well). I used Yast->Network Services->http Server->modules to enable perl. From what I can see this simply added perl to the list in /etc/sysconfig/apache2's APACHE_MODULES. I next ran SuSEconfig -module apache2. Now when I do "rcapache2 restart" it fails to start: # rcapache2 restart Syntax OK Shutting down httpd2 (waiting for all children to terminate) done Starting httpd2 (prefork) startproc: signal catched /usr/sbin/httpd2-prefork: Segmentation fault There was nothing in /var/log/apache2/error_log. What else do I need to do to enable mod_perl? -- Robert C. Paulsen, Jr. robert@paulsenonline.net

Just remembered I re-installed apache from ftp://ftp.suse.com/pub/people/poeml/ so I reinstalled mod_perl from the same place and now apache starts. (I'm still having problems, but I'll try to work them out before asking for more help!) -- Robert C. Paulsen, Jr. robert@paulsenonline.net
