[opensuse] "Email Project" window in XSane v0.996 won't close
Aparently I inadvertantly clicked on a button I shouldn't have touched, and I window named as above appeared, and is waitaing for me to make an email project. It won't close: The close button does nothing; I can't kill it from the Proess Table, because this window is not a separate process; closing the application, or even rebooting, restore this window as it is. As it is XSane is useless. Please, if anyone has a clue, please tell me how to get rid of this window, short of uninstalling XSane and seeking anothe app without this particular bug. -- Stan Goodman Qiryat Tiv'on Israel -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

xkill. The mouse pointer switch to crossbones, and kills whatever you click. There is an app somewhere, I forgot the name, that gives info about where some window comes from. Ah, try running in an xterm (or konsole or whatever) "xwininfo", then click on that window. [...] I'm not sure if that's the one :-? - -- Cheers, Carlos E. dont' think so; that one displays only color & geometry info. when i expect trouble with an application, i usually start it from a terminal. that way you see what it's complaining about and can usally kill it with ctrl + c. -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You probably selected "multipage" by mistake, change it to something else and the "project" request should go away. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Just to add: If you select "email or fax or multipage" a project window will appear as well. Select save and the window goes away. -- Ken Schneider SuSe since Version 5.2, June 1998 -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
