I am now considering putting a few Linux machines on my home LAN which will access the outside through another Linux machine which acts as the gateway. I know I will have to use IP masquerading. But I am wondering if I telnet or rsh or ssh into a remote machine and start an X application from a machine behind the gateway, how do I export the display to it?
