[opensuse] kontact + Delete Thread
HI Is there anyway that I can configure this option to move the deleted items to the Wastebin? at the moment, it just makes the thread vanish into thin air and I sometimes delete a thread by accident and need to recover it. thanks Ian -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Have you looked in trash folder in Local Folders of KMail? -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Yes, there is nothing in Wastebin.
You talk about Wastebin, which is big can for trash on a desktop. The name of the folder where deleted mail goes in KMail, or KMail component of Kontact, is "trash", not Wastebin. It is located in local folders. I suspect that you are looking in a wrong place, as I can't find any setting that will remove mail for good, skipping trash. I looked in KMail settings and in shortcuts. -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

With the en_GB localisation, the name of that folder in kmail is also wastebin In KDE 4.2 the command is called "move thread to wastebin" and has the ctrl- del shortcut. "Delete thread" you only see on threads that are already in the wastebin If that's not in 4.1.x, you might consider filing a bug to get it backported, because I agree that it's a useful feature Anders -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

It is English after all. :-D

Anders
Disappearing items can be bug, as it happened to me that certain keyboard and mouse button combination on 5 buttton mouse, sent one mail somewhere. I never reproduced that, nor found email again. It happened in Thunderbird that has very little in common with KMail (maybe). -- Regards, Rajko -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
