For some reason, the Gnome desktop I installed under SuSE 9.0 crashes. Is there any way I can use Yast to uninstall Gnome and then reinstall it? Thanks dj tuchler

You can use the YAST module ``Install/ Remove Software Packages''. Just mark the packages you want to have reinstalled with ``update''. Good luck! /Sven

You might be better off deleting the ".gnome" files and directories in your homedir. To test: create a new user with "useradd -m user" and log in If it works proceed with your own account. hth dan Am Freitag, 12. Dezember 2003 03:27 schrieb Dennis J. Tuchler:

I am not sure what you are suggesting; what "if it works" means. What should be the consequences if I delete the gnome directories in my home directory "if it works"? Thanks again for your help dj tuchler

You could try running YaST from KDE. Don Henson
