I have Suse 9 on an IBM A31 and when I check kwifi I can see that I am on my wireless network and the gateway is set to the waps IP but I can not ping the wap or get out on the internet. Any ideas?

I have done an ifconfig, ifstatus and included the routes file just incase something jumps out at you. ifconfig output wlan0 IEEE 802.11b ESSID:"LWATCDR" Nickname:"suse2go" Mode:Ad-Hoc Frequency:2.437GHz Cell: 00:0C:41:67:7A:16 Bit Rate:11Mb/s Sensitivity=1/3 Retry min limit:8 RTS thr:off Fragment thr:off Encryption key:off Power Management:off Link Quality:48/92 Signal level:-71 dBm Noise level:-100 dBm Rx invalid nwid:0 Rx invalid crypt:0 Rx invalid frag:0 Tx excessive retries:1 Invalid misc:30 Missed beacon:0 eth0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:02:8A:2D:40:F9 inet6 addr: fe80::202:8aff:fe2d:40f9/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:0 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:6 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:0 (0.0 b) TX bytes:3540 (3.4 Kb) Interrupt:11 Base address:0x8000 Memory:d0200000-d0200038 lo Link encap:Local Loopback inet addr:127.0.0.1 Mask:255.0.0.0 inet6 addr: ::1/128 Scope:Host UP LOOPBACK RUNNING MTU:16436 Metric:1 RX packets:40 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:40 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:0 RX bytes:2608 (2.5 Kb) TX bytes:2608 (2.5 Kb) wlan0 Link encap:Ethernet HWaddr 00:20:E0:8F:1D:28 inet addr:192.168.1.102 Bcast:192.168.1.255 Mask:255.255.255.0 inet6 addr: fe80::220:e0ff:fe8f:1d28/64 Scope:Link UP BROADCAST NOTRAILERS RUNNING MULTICAST MTU:1500 Metric:1 RX packets:98 errors:0 dropped:0 overruns:0 frame:0 TX packets:7 errors:1 dropped:0 overruns:0 carrier:0 collisions:0 txqueuelen:100 RX bytes:32754 (31.9 Kb) TX bytes:1738 (1.6 Kb) Interrupt:11 Memory:e48e5000-e48e6000 ================================================================================== ifstatus wlan0 dhcpcd running wlan0 is up 3: wlan0: <BROADCAST,MULTICAST,NOTRAILERS,UP> mtu 1500 qdisc pfifo_fast qlen 100 link/ether 00:20:e0:8f:1d:28 brd ff:ff:ff:ff:ff:ff inet 192.168.1.102/24 brd 192.168.1.255 scope global wlan0 inet6 fe80::220:e0ff:fe8f:1d28/64 scope link current lease for wlan0: IPADDR=192.168.1.102 NETMASK=255.255.255.0 GATEWAY=192.168.1.1 DOMAIN='atlsfl.adelphia.net' DNS=68.168.1.42,68.168.1.46 DHCPSIADDR=0.0.0.0 DHCPCHADDR=00:20:E0:8F:1D:28 ================================================================================ contents of /etc/sysconfig/network/routes default 192.168.1.1 - - Michael W Cocke wrote:
