Am I crazy or just the usual dumb newbie?
I don't want to choose: "yes" :))
Without kidding, I think you had a bad download. What is the result of: LANG=C rpm --checksig kdeartwork3-xscreensaver-3.1.4-34.i586.rpm
It should be something like: kdeartwork3-xscreensaver-3.1.4-34.i586.rpm: md5 gpg OK
At the server the file is okay.
I've downloaded the file once again ... the result IS as you have said... kdeartwork3-xscreensaver-3.1.4-34.i586.rpm: md5 gpg OK so i tried onse again... rpm -Uvh kdeartwork3-xscreensaver-3.1.4-34.i586.rpm same result... Segmentation fault !!! God I'm growing gray hair here!! Halloween? Do this.. rpm --rebuilddb Then do this.. rpm -qa | grep kdeartwork3-xscreensaver See if you have dups installed. Sometimes that can make rpm shite itself. After you've rebuilt the db it should be fine. -- Ben Rosenberg ---===---===---===--- mailto:ben@whack.org ----- If two men agree on everything, you can be sure that only one of them is doing the thinking.
