In a recent post someone said that SuSE has an rpm for the latest version of Firefox. But where? The main SuSE site seems to be at 1.0.x, while the latest version is 1.5.0.2. The closest I could come was linuxelectrons.com, which has 1.5.0.1. I couldn't find any version on opensuse, but perhaps I just didn't know where to look for it there. Paul

Paul, I have the following rpm which I'd be glad to send to you off-list if it will help. Sorry but I can't recall where it came from. MozillaFirefox-1.5.0.2-0.1.i586.rpm Gil

Found it at last. It's at ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla/firefox, and the version there is actually 1.5.0.3, presumably better. Paul

The Firefox 1.0 branch is still maintained for security fixes, so we still release security updates from there. Ciao, Marcus

For cases like that I usually use: http://rpm.pbone.net/ rpm search facilities. In advanced search untag all linux distributions and tag SuSE Other SuSE 10.0 OpenSuSE it usually works for me! I've just updated firefox only a few days ago after an firefox addon refused to install because of the version. I've found the right rpm through this site. -- António Rodrigues Tomé artome@ubi.pt <---official e-mail address artome@gmail.com <---alternative security e-mail address http://www.dfisica.ubi.pt/~artome http://www.cgul.ul.pt/curric/cgul_tome.htm
