[S.u.S.E. Linux] A few Simple questions for a Suse newbie
Hi, I'm trying to move from Caldera to Suse. All is going fairly well , except for a few things. 1. Where is my .bashrc file ? There isn't one in the root directory? Why does Suse do it different? Do I just create my own? 2. How do I put icons on the desktop? With Caldera's Looking Glass I could just drag and drop my programs as icons on the desktop. I can't seem to find a way to do it in Suse. Do I need a special file manager.? 3. How do I get those annoying widgets like the "moving eyes" off my desktop. I know that it's probably is all in the manual, but I figure I could use a few hints after the torture of learning Yast. I must admit SuSE works better, and is more powerful than Caldera; BUT Caldera's Lisa is way easier to use than Yast. I guess I'll appreciate it's power as I learn more later. :-) Joe -- To get out of this list, please send email to majordomo@suse.com with this text in its body: unsubscribe suse-linux-e
