No, never have banged down the mouse, tempted tho I may be. Put new mouse on and it works just fine.
so, could you open the mouse, clean it and test if it works? (as you don't use it anymore, if it break it's of no importance, but so we could know the reason) G. Again, the symptom was clearly a problem with the microswitch that is connected to the mouse button. That cannot be opened and cleaned.

of course, it can! I did. You can even change or fix a switch not to say it's usefull here :-) a switch failure is often visible because the button have no more spring, but again knowledge is better than guesses jdd -- http://www.dodin.net http://valerie.dodin.org http://news.opensuse.org/2009/04/13/people-of-opensuse-jean-daniel-dodin/ -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

You mean replace the microswitch. How would you repair that microswitch itself?

I don't think I've ever seen a microswitch that could be opened. The picture in my mind is of a rivet-like fastener used to hold together the halves of the case. Randall SChulz -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
