[SLE] Firefox hangs during download
Hi, I finally got my updating problems solved, and now have a 10.1 system with kde 3.5.3 and all the updates that zen (that is the globe that replaced YOU, right?) recognizes. I have noticed something that I don't remember seeing before. Whenever I download something with Firefox, it hangs until the download is complete. Can't change tabs, can't type in a URL, can't even kill the window from the title bar. Thunderbird works as I expect it to -- while it's downloading, I can continue to read messages, switch newsgroups, even downloaad more than one long message at a time. Am I misremembering? Is this new? Does anyone else see it? Have I misconfigured something? Weird. i've used at least 3 different versions of Firefox under Suse 10.1 and i've never seen this. i almost suspect that you're using a weird window manager, and that the WM is the problem. -- ----- stephan@s11n.net http://s11n.net "...pleasure is a grace and is not obedient to the commands of the will." -- Alan W.
