[SLE] pam_ssh working for anyone?
I'm a long time ssh/ssh-agent user, so I thought I would try to save a little typing by using the pam_ssh.so module. So I uncommented the ssh_pam lines in /etc/pam.d/common-auth & common-session, and logged off and back on. (running SuSE 10.1, gnome/gdm) I logged in with my user & ssh private key password (instead of my shadow password) just fine, ssh-agent was running, but my key did not get added to ssh-agent. "ssh-add -l" and "ssh-add -L" both showed NO keys. If I have to run ssh-add manually (and type my ssh-key password a second time), I'm not saving any typing, and I don't see the point. I'm probably missing something as the man page seems to imply that the login process should add my key to ssh-agent. FWIW, I tried this once back on SuSE 10.0 with the same results. Any ideas??? I followed all the instructions here: http://en.opensuse.org/Using_ssh-agent_globally_for_X_session Worked for me - ssh-add -l shows my RSA key.
