You don't give much detail! What is the configuration of the server and the network? Do you restart the server every day, for example? You need to try to isolate the cause. Is the server itself busy? (try top or other tools). Is the NFS usage heavier? (nfsstat). Is the network itself busy with some other traffic? (wireshark or other network analyser) Do you get slow latency or slow throughput or both? Well "obviously" :-) on the basis of the information you've given us it quite self apparently can't possibly be anything other than this: When your children come home in the afternoon they fire up on-line games, chat sessions and downloads that consume bandwidth. "Obviously" :-) I you think that might not be the case, then perhaps you could give us details of your context to prove why this could not be the case. :-) -- Anton - "Context is Everything" - Aylward -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I must be slow this morning; I completely missed the obvious solution :) Cheers, Dave -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
I am _so_ glad someone got the joke. But then again, it was rather "Brit" humour and may go down flat in .CN land. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Well, after fighting with computers and software the last 2 weeks, I really enjoyed this one. I like that style :-)) Pit -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Looks like I'll check this out - once I have the time for it, that is.
Did *you* succeed?

Maybe the NFS server gets drunk each afternoon :-D ... seriously, there are no details in your mail to be able to help you. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org
