netscape 4.76 closes all the time
Does anyone experience this... I'm browsing the web as usual, and all of a sudden, netscape just closes. I can then relaunch it and continue on until the next time it closes. And by "closes" I mean it just exits and quits. Seems like it happens totally randomly. Any ideas? CD __________________________________________________ Do You Yahoo!? It's totally random because your running into what Linux people have bitched about for years. These sites most likely have badly written code or it is written for things that IE can do but Netscape can not..or at least can not do very well. Give Mozilla 0.8.X a try. I have only had it on one site that had very, very malformed Javascript...otherwise it's damn rock solid. I've seen strange Netscape crashes as a result of a conflict with an upgrade of XFree86 - my problem was something to do with the startup script, and I got around it by creating a KDE link directly to /opt/netscape. Maybe worth a try... Cheers M Crazy Diamond wrote:
