Software raid devices stop without any reason, during installation (in this case one can not complete the installation) and after installation. This has occured on two motherboards with Intel's 865 PE chipset and Maxtor (80 GB / 8 MB Cache) disks. The exact same machines, work perfectly (with software raid) under Suse Linux 9.0. So, is it the new kernel, or what? Furthermore, is Suse aware of the problem? Are the solving it? Please advise. Panos
