RE: [SuSE Linux] only root can login
Sounds like you removed the "read" permission on the file... you may have execute privilege, but if you can't read it, you can't execute it. - Herman

hi all, i've got a - hopefully - little problem, wich can be fixed with a little help as soon as i created it. i edited some things via yast in my configuration file, rc.config and did numerous other things, triying to get a ppp-connection working. and now only root is able to login. on console i get the error-message:
/bin/bash: permission denied
although it is executable by all. nearly the same when i try to start x-windows with kdm (xterm: cannot open /bin/bash or something like that). what did i do wrong that caused this behaviour?
thanks for help
