Hi I have a question, does any one on this list know what "program" SuSE used to build their YaST2 partitioning program on -- Reason for asking is I am trying to evealuate whether it would be better to buy a copy of "Partition Magic" or SuSE 8.2. I have a 30 gB dive in a new machine on which my daughter will be running mostly M$ programs (Corel draw, etc), and I need to partition the drive. Any input with regard to partitioning would be appreciated. We have five other machines running Linux, so no preaching to the choir please. I have used both to my satisfaction. If you only want to do partitioning, the price of the product should be your decision factor. SuSE 8.2 offers a myriad of additional facilities, of course. Greetings -- Jan Elders Nuenen the Netherlands
well over the past day we've had a lot of discussion on different partitioning programs that are free and substitutes for PartitionMagic. If you have to choose only one choose SuSE and you can burn a copy of Knoppix which it seems has some nice partitioning tool(s). And as usual make sure you know what you are doing when partitioning... james. --- GarUlbricht7@netscape.net wrote:
