Hi List I get the following errors when I try and run yast. These used to work: ERROR(Media:file not found)[HTTP return code: 404 (URL: http://ftp.gwdg.de/pub/linux/suse/ftp.suse.com/suse/i386/supplementary/KDE/u...)] Is this repository no longer valid? If that's true is there a replacement to use for KDE updates? AIUI and I probably am not quite right - Backports are those KDE programs that are NoArch versus i586, i686, x86_64, ppc, etc. They don't require any special considerations for hardware architecture at compile time. Gotta remember to go look at the repository before replying. There are noarch, i586 and i686 directories with programs there. http://en.opensuse.org/Meetings/Status_Meeting_2006-05-30 has a better definition. Do a Ctrl+F and find backport. "KDE:Backports (contains updated KDE apps without the need to update also the complete KDE (big advantage))". So it is those KDE programs that are updated but that don't require updating _ALL_ of KDE. So the KDE3 repository contains the latest KDE programs that are dependent on other KDE programs being at the same level.
