Anyone got Xine working with 7.1 and DVD movies? Everytime I tried it segfaulted after playing a short section of music. This was from an RPM made by a third party for SuSE 7.1... Matt -- "The only thing complex about Linux are the users themselves."

I wanted the extra piece of software, just to make sure that no DVD movie was escapable from my viewing pleasure...And I did not want to patch xine myself at the source level. Hopefully I can find the setting.... Matt

Yep, works fine for me. I compiled the latest Xine from source, then the libcss plugin. I've only got half a dozen DVDs but since they all play perfectly I now have no excuse not to buy some more. :) If you can't get Xine to work you might try XMovie, which also works for me except that the sound/picture sync is not quite right for the version I have. Maybe that's fixed now.
