You may not be able to resize it without resizing some of the other partitions, but... You may have multiple swap partitions, and you can turn them on and off on the fly. There is a command called swapon: swapon -s - This displays the size of the swap partition and the usage. To manually turn on a (properly formatted) swap partion (assume /dev/hdc3): swapon /dev/hdc3
To turn off a swap partition:
swapoff /dev/hdc3
Normally, you would have the swap partitions listed in your /etc/fstab,
but you may also want to do the manual stuff if you are adding and/or
deleting a swap partition.
