[opensuse] quick question about dolphin and refresh (13.1)
I have some desktops on 13.1 - it was pointed out to me that dolphin doesn't automagically refresh and show e.g. new files that were created. For instance, I'll scan something with xsane, save it as a jpeg, then convert to a pdf using 'convert' from the command line. When I swap to a dolphin window with the directory open, I have to hit F5 to refresh the display to see the jpeg and the pdf. Is there yet another setting I need to tweak to enable that? On older desktops with Konqueror, new files are picked up automatically. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (8.2°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - free dynamic DNS, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Right-click on toolbar, select customize and add refresh icon (green twisted arrow). Vojtěch -- Vojtěch Zeisek Komunita openSUSE GNU/Linuxu Community of the openSUSE GNU/Linux http://www.opensuse.org/ http://trapa.cz/

In my experience Dolphin will sometimes pick up the new file and sometime it won't and I have to refresh. I've never noticed any particular file type or other reason. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

I used pdf and jpeg only as a examples because that's what the user was working with. -- Per Jessen, Zürich (4.6°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
