Galeon, Evolution, X-Chat updates
Updated today on www.usr-local-bin.org * Galeon - updated to 1.3.1 (GNOME2 beta) - depends on GTK2 Mozilla 1.2.1 * Evolution - updated to 1.2.1 (bugfix) - also updated: gtkhtml-1.1 & gal * X-Chat - updated to 1.9.7 (GNOME2 beta) It's been pointed out to me that the packages of Mozilla 1.2.1 don't include the Flash plugin, I'm going to do new packages and post them to the site tomorrow to rectify this. FWIW, there's a new release of the Flash plugin (v6.0 r69) available at http://macromedia.mplug.org/ , including SuSE 8.x rpms (also apt-get'able). Don't know about SuSE 8.1, but it works well on 8.0.
What's the package name under Apt-get? I couldn't find it. Tom On Mon, 2002-12-16 at 13:18, Scott Jones wrote:

You need to add one of these to your sources.list: rpm http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/macromedia/apt suse/8.x macromedia rpm http://sluglug.ucsc.edu/macromedia/apt suse/8.x macromedia rpm http://macromedia.mplug.org/apt suse/8.x macromedia The package name is flash-plugin.

The Mozilla packages from my site include this version of the Flash plugin. However, that link's handy, cos it has a link to the elusive EULA I'd been looking for, means I can add a link to the Mozilla page on usr local bin :) -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1). OK, I just read that EULA, and it does prohibit redistribution of the software, so later today I will be uploading new packages that do not include it, even in the .src.rpm (the packages I'd screwed the plgun installation in did still include the Flash tarball in the source package) I'll include a link to that mplug.org site, since they have Macromedia's permission to redistribute. The new packages will by default symlink the Flash 5 plugin from Netscape using SuSEconfig. -- James Ogley, Webmaster, Rubber Turnip james@rubberturnip.org.uk http://www.rubberturnip.org.uk Jabber: riggwelter@myjabber.net Using Free Software since 1994, running GNU/Linux (SuSE 8.1) GNOME updates for SuSE: http://www.usr-local-bin.org
