[opensuse] building xine-lib on MS6
Hi, I have a problem that I don't understand. I try to compile xine-lib for MS6. I have resolved all the dependencies but one: rpmbuild --rebuild xine-lib-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.src.rpm Installing xine-lib-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.src.rpm warning: InstallSourcePackage: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 9a795806 error: Failed build dependencies: gnutls-devel is needed by xine-lib-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 but: rpm -qa | grep gnutls-dev libgnutls-devel-2.4.1-25.15 Isn't this the devel package of gnutls? If not, where can I find it? I checked on the MS6 DVD, on the MS6 repositories and even on the 11.1 repository. yes it might, if I would not get the unresolved dependencies I have been already asking for with no answer/solution :-) rpm -U *.rpm warning: libxine1-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586.rpm: Header V3 DSA signature: NOKEY, key ID 9a795806 error: Failed dependencies: libMagickCore.so.1 is needed by libxine1-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 libMagickWand.so.1 is needed by libxine1-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 libcdio.so.7 is needed by libxine1-codecs-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 libcdio.so.7(CDIO_7) is needed by libxine1-codecs-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 libiso9660.so.5 is needed by libxine1-codecs-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 The one I can't find is the libMagickCore.so.1 the others I didn't try to find yet. Perfect... and the OP was trying to install xine-lib on 11.2/M6... and xine-lib is not yet available in Packman. The package needs to be built by the user himself (rpmbuilt). xine-lib OTOH has plenty of dependencies which will not make this a very short / simple task for the user. I could make it work although it's not running very well. I have 90% of cpu used while watching a movie :-( Can this be because of the 11.1 packages on 11.2 system? I would still like to buid xine-lib myself but I don't know how to resolv this depedency: gnutls-devel is needed by xine-lib-1.1.16.3-0.pm.3.i586 I can only find libgnutls-devel. What to do?
