Re: [SLE] not receiving all mail from the list

I seem to be receiving a very small percentage of the list mail, since about Sept. 21, 2006 (I believe the server was shut down for a couple of days.) Today I received 5 (so far), of about 35 I saw in the archives. Nothing came through over the week-end. Can someone tell me what could be causing this, how to correct it? --ED--
Last week there was a problem with the SuSE Filters I guess..which tagged most of the mails as SPAM. I guess those mails didn't pass through your filter..and so you never got any of those Emails. --

Thanks, Duff I seem to be getting more today, but for the last month it has been very slow except for Mondays. I also noticed my post this morning was listed as SPAM. Maybe it's getting better now. --ED--

I get between 50 and 120 emails a day from the list. If you're not getting them, then you should contact the list administrator. The problem with the heading SPAM has been noted on the list, but no help has been provided, AFAIK. --doug

Posted here by Carlos. Was fixed (mostly) Monday. You haven't observed the missing 'SPAM' notice in the Subjects: ? -- Patrick Shanahan Registered Linux User #207535 http://wahoo.no-ip.org @ http://counter.li.org HOG # US1244711 Photo Album: http://wahoo.no-ip.org/gallery2

Thanks Doug, The volume seems normal today. I will wait and see what happens tomorrow before I complain more. -- ED --
Mail seemed normal on the 23rd. Dropped off substantially on the 24th. On the 25th October I only received about six mails from the list. There were about 30 concerning Skype, I received *one. *This is a subject I am interested in. There were about 40 others I did not receive. None of these were tagged as spam. What's wrong with the list (this is also a past subject I received no mail on)? -- ED -- P. S. I can't find the address for the list administrator.

You got it with the welcome message from the list server. You can get it following the advice at the bottom of your email: |> For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com - -- Cheers, Carlos E. I still have a FAQ from suse-linux-e; 3rd & 4th line are:
I'm working for my owner, who can be reached at suse-linux-e-owner@suse.com.

Yes. I agree that the needful was done. Action was taken indeed. But still, Ed McCanless' post was tagged as SPAM. I guess they have a new filter now. If the post doesn't have the word SuSE, then its tagged as SPAM. --
