This is only of interest if you are in Europe I suppose. If you are meditating to buy a new card or your first one, you may wonder what is compatible with opensuse: So, the card is a PCI-e 1x card. I do obviously not use the "bill gates memorial software" that ships with it. It offers standards: DVB-S (satellite) DVB-S2 HD, DVB-C, DVB-C, DVB-T and analog TV (pal/secam) and EPG. Comes with a IR remote control. Deceivingly it is not able to walk over waters or to do other wonders. (SCNR) Seriously: tested with opensuse TW and Kaffeine 2.0 using DVB-S and DVB-S2 and a centralized satellite dish. The card is branched to a floppy disc current plug of the powersupply to reinforce the signal (that was previously not necessary for users of PCI but PCI-e 1x cards may need it). Drawbacks: With TW it does not (!) run out of the box. The reason is that, although tumbleweed does deliver an astonishing amount of firmware in /lib/ firmware, the card necessitates of two firmware fw files (one for DVB-S one for DVB-C/T function) of the OpenELEC firmware tree. It has to be downloaded and copied just into /lib/firmware. The link can be found in LinuxTVorg. Second problem: Once done and rebooted the system, the card resulted perfect in all functions with the exception(!) of the remote control. I tried to install kremotecontrol and LIRC in TW, but although the file was recently updated, it seems that the program is out of support for KDE and at least for this card remote control, it does neither work in TW, nor does the kremotecontrol does show up in the tray or in settings. Otherwise the card offers flawless registering, watching TV and HD TV and listening to HD radio.
