[opensuse] Regression in Qt 5.4.0 from KDE:Qt5
Using openSUSE 13.2, just updated Qt to 5.4.0~rc from KDE:Qt5 repository. Here's how my yast looks like now: https://drive.google.com/open?id=0B5Kp-cB1sXJrQjcxSktvUDVJWlk&authuser=0 That is 5pt font on 167DPI 13" laptop. With Qt 5.3.2 from the same repository everything worked correcly. Is that expected behaviour and I have to do something after update to 5.4.0, or that is regression? -- Regards, Stas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

Can you indicate in more detail what is wrong with the screenshot? To me it looks fine (but i don't know how it looked for you before) Cheers, Hrvoje

Sorry, for me it was so immediately wrong that I assumed that everyone will notice at once. Size of the checkboxes and radio buttons is too big, it was the same for Qt4 and Qt5 with 5.3.2. Ok, i see now what do you mean. I can say that on a 96DPI, 15.4" screen & 10pt font things are working fine... You can try reporting your problem on https://bugreports.qt-project.org (if it is not noticed already by someone else..) Cheers, Hrvoje

I'll bet you don't know how it looks to him now either. :-) It may look fine to you because you can't see what he sees unless your screen is also 167DPI. If his screenshot had included some reference object of known size, then you could resize the viewed image to make the reference object match, thus seeing better (perspective, though short of detail) what it is that he sees. If we knew that his 1320px wide YaST window was the size it always opened at and that he had not changed it, that could be the reference, but I highly doubt a YaST window on a 1024x600 screen opens to 1320px wide. I usually try to at least include a KCalc window (if not something better[1]) to provide an image size adjustment reference. Another way to achieve his perspective (same size) would be if he took a ruler to that 1320px image and included his measurement along with the URL, so that you could resize accordingly. How dare you offending my noble Krusader by calling it "dolphin"?! But checkboxes and raios in any widget toolkit (except for GTK3 probably) never occupy more space than font ascent+descent, and on my first screenshot both checkboxes and radios are double the size of the font, breaking the layout a little. -- Regards, Stas -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
