If you have an ISDN line this is possible. If you have only an analog line, I'm not sure. /Per Jessen -- http://www.spamchek.co.uk/freetrial - managed anti-spam and anti-virus solution. Sign up for your free 30-day trial now!

Yes, it is possible with a regular analog line, at least it was about ten years ago (in the US anyway). -- A lot of us are working harder than we want, at things we don't like to do. Why? ...In order to afford the sort of existence we don't care to live. -- Bradford Angier

With Linux-based software?? Do you know how it is/was done?
Though I've wanted to, I've never gotten around to setting it up myself. You can download asterisk from http://www.asterisk.org/ but it's really overkill for what you want to do, as asterisk is really a VOIP solution, and not too easy to set up. -- Kind Regards Hans du Plooy SagacIT (Pty) Ltd hansdp at sagacit dot com
