If I upgrade to 3.0.4 using apt-get, do I need to run anything afterwards or reboot or just restart X?? Thanks, -- Tom Nielsen Neuro Logic Systems 805.389.5435 x18 www.neuro-logic.com

It should be enough to just restart X. Reboots are generally only necessary when you've done something with the kernel, or changed the partitioning on your root disk. Most other things can be done on a running system. Anders
