[opensuse] Question about Dolphin: deleting files
Is there a way to configure Dolphin so that it doesn't copy/move deleted files to the Wastebin (and pretend that they are really deleted)? I am working with large file (working with Cinelerra) and need to deleted files which may some 25GB big. Doing these deletions in Dolphin are a real pain :-( . On the other hand, by using mc (Midnight Commander) the files are deleted instantaneously - and I can get on with life. Anyone suggest a solution to this hassle in Dolphin, thanks? Delete - as in right click delete (in the context menu) does a complete delete for me... Or hold SHIFT+Delete -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

As easy as that, eh? :-) . Thanks, Carl, works great. But the simple Delete key only moves the file to the Wastebin; the Shift+Delete is the one that simply makes the file vanish. Thanks again.
