firewall on a cd .. can I....?
Is it posible to create a small business version of your delicious firewall on a cd product.. one that doesn't cost thousands ?/ ( I'm NOT saying it isn't work the money, justthat some small businesses can't afford it ... the money just isn't in the budget... alternatively ... is there a way to create one ( esp for SOHO type places ) where I could customise everything before I burned it? Where would I look for the "destructions" to do it ... assuming it IS posible <g>

What does the firewall include? If all you want is a firewall script there is a site that produces one intended for Redhat. The editing to get it working for SuSE is relatively trival IMHO. Depending on what you want and need you could create something. Obviously you then end up keeping it up to date. http://linux-firewall-tools.com/linux/firewall/index.html You would then need to combine any other features you need. Nick

gibraltar based on debian, configuration is kept on a floppy leaf Dachstein-CD based on LRP-leaf you can create you own version sentryfilewall CD based configuration is kept on floppy uses iptables IMO firewall scripts are very detailed smoothwall harddisk installation suppors Alcatel USB Speedtouch DSL modems also E-smith SME hardisk based on Redhat very easy to configure I would say idiot proof web based email pop, smtp with qmail apache samba and many other features. Mandrake SNF 7.2 Very similar to e-smith (actually many perl scripts are e-smith origin) yet not good as e-smith there are floppy based ones also or SuSE firewall or SuSEfirwall2 of Marc miminum install of SuSE and then you go. Now web addresss try google with these key words -- Togan Muftuoglu
