[opensuse] Dell CERC RAID - No disks found
Hi guys. Trying to install openSuSE (10.2) on an old Dell PowerEdge 1600SC. It contains an LSI Logic(r) CERC ATA100/4ch IDE RAID controller. I have a RAID-1 logical disk setup via the RAID. Pressing escape during the installation boot up process, shows that it detects the LSI controller and uses one of the megaraid modules. But the installation then says 'cannot find any disks'. Any ideas? (I've looked through the forum and although the question has been asked I've seen no fix for the issue) -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

Which megaraid module is loaded? If this is megaraid_mbox, it does not support "legacy"/old hw. You need to load megaraid module, as per this post: <http://www.linuxquestions.org/questions/showthread.php?t=492953> This is for SCSI, so I do not know if it is going to work with IDE RAID, but you can try.
