Pulled from their support page: Does Ximian Desktop support RedHat 8.0 and Mandrake 9.0? How about SuSE 8.1 and Debian Woody? Question Does Ximian Desktop support RedHat 8.0 and Mandrake 9.0? How about SuSE 8.1 and Debian Woody? Answer The shipping Ximian Desktop product does not currently support these distributions. Ximian plans to offer Ximian Desktop 2.0 (based on GNOME 2.0) supporting these distributions later this year. Further on they mention that they are hard at work making Gnome 2, Ximian worthwhile as we know SuSE 8.1 comes with Gnome 2 :). Just wanted to let you know... Matt Ps Like Ximian, but am using KDE more often actually. Red carpet is a very utility thus far...
