When going to SLES 9, would you recommend upgrading from 8 to 9, or backing up data files, then restoring on a fresh copy of SLES 9. For upgrading, is there a document from SUSE that lists the steps for doing this? Thanks, Ryan

For upgrading, is there a document from SUSE that lists the steps for doing this? ALWAYS do a fresh install after you have done a complete backup. I have seen so many horror stories unfold on this list and with my friends who decided to do upgrades and not fresh installs. Granted it was from SuSE 8 -> 9 and not SLES but I would think the logic holds.
