[opensuse] code name for 42.2?
Starting with 11.2, there was a code name for every openSUSE release... Emerald, Teal, Celadon, Asparagus, Mantis, Dartmouth, Bottle, Harlequin, Malachite... So is there no code name for 42.2? Also, what is the purpose of code names in the first place? -- George Box: 42.1 | KDE Plasma 5 | AMD Phenom IIX4 | 64 | 32GB Laptop #1: 42.1 | Plasma 5.4.7, Qt 5.7.0 | Core i7-4710HQ | 64 | 16GB Laptop #2: 42.1 | KDE Plasma 5 | Core i5 | 64 | 8GB -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org

My guess.... 1) Tradition 2) Never knowing when what you are working on will be good enough to release, developers tended not to commit to release numbers before it became clear. For some interpretation of "code name", that is correct: https://lists.opensuse.org/opensuse-factory/2016-07/msg00470.html IMO, that name is Leap. -- "The wise are known for their understanding, and pleasant words are persuasive." IMO, that name is Leap.
We have two distros - Leap and Tumbleweed. Apparently Leap 422 was not given a code/project name. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/OpenSUSE_version_history -- Per Jessen, Zürich (9.9°C) http://www.dns24.ch/ - your free DNS host, made in Switzerland. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org To contact the owner, e-mail: opensuse+owner@opensuse.org
