FW: [SLE] Update to Unofficial SuSE FAQ on 8.0 PCMCIA wireless
I was wondering if anyone had got the Netgear MA401 adapter working? I gave up, I'm currently using Suse 8.0 as well... I'm still having to use windows2k :( If so how, please point me to doc ... Luck is my game ;-) Linux is my aim :) Dre -----Original Message----- From: W. D. I just did a Yast online update, and the "fix" did not make the Netgear MA401 card that worked fine under 7.3 work under 8.0.
My older Lucent Gold card still works.
I'd like to get the Netgear card to work, tho, as it is a better card in several respects.
Any suggestions to the point of getting the MA401 card to work?

OK, do you know the ESSID of the access point ? If so, head to /etc/sysconfig/network/ in the file "wireless" make the line WIRELESS="yes" Also, is your network connection set to DHCP or is it static ? /Dee On (19/07/02 03:02), arawak wrote:
