[opensuse] white shadow
When rising a konsole or okular window to foreground, often a white shadow, covering the window content, is shown on the left side. Here enclosed is a picture. The same also happens at each new page, when browsing a pdf document with okular. I am using kde 4.4.4 opensuse 11.3 Any ideas to fix that annoying behaviour? thank you ----p

never seen anything like this, but did you try disabling all desktop effects and see if that shadow still occurs? -- phani. -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

I have just followed your suggestions, yet nothing has changed. Here is my test: - cleared up the white shadow, by simply scrolling down the terminal line cursor. - sent the konsole window in the background, behind other windows - risen up the konsole window - the white shadow is there , again thank you ----p -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

i have solved my issue: it was due to the bespin 'widget style' i have switched to oxygen and all is fine. ----p -- To unsubscribe, e-mail: opensuse+unsubscribe@opensuse.org For additional commands, e-mail: opensuse+help@opensuse.org

bespin is better and more flexible than oxygen but it is hard to manage, I have been tinkering a bit around the configuration options and succeeded in getting a satisfying set, with no 'white shadow' effect. Yet i do not master the bespin unusual interface. Suggestions to users' configuration notes (besides the rather poor bespin home page) are welcome. thank you ----p
