I've got Firefox 1 loaded on SuSE pro 9.1 - once extacted there were no problems. I had to do a few tweaks but it was OK past that....it's a lot faster than Konquerer or Mozilla (regular).
I know little about rpms or source rpms, but I donloaded MozillaFirefox-1.0-0.1.i586.rpm from that site and installed it with yast -i MozillaFirefox-1.0-0.1.i586.rpm John

I got the Firefox rpms from ftp.suse.com/pub/projects/mozilla/firefox/1.0/ and it installed perfectly using yast -i <the rpm>
The only thing I see there is the source rpm.
