Solved my xosview problem. I checked my .Xdefaults against the xosview man page and found that many things that I had been using in 42.3 had been redefined. I don't know why it worked in 42.3 and not in Leap 15, but problem appears to be solved. If I ask for versions, both reply Git. Just for info.
