Just stopping the daemon doesn't solve the problem, actually. Nor restarting the machine. For some reason, any query to a .local domain is attempting to hit server 224.0.0.251 via protocol 'MDNS', rather than those configured in /etc/resolv.conf. Why? Thanks. Regards, Rich
