On two SuSE 6.3 installs I have the same problem. The mouse has a jerky movement and it seems to avoid buttons, this is very irritating. If I slowly sneak up on a button I can usually click on it. I set up my video with SaX and it has this problem with both the S3 and Mach 64 boards. Any suggestions? ---Jim Shop online without a credit card http://www.rocketcash.com RocketCash, a NetZero subsidiary

Is that a laptop with a touch pad? If so, there is a three line kernal patch that can be applied to correct it. I have done this on two different laptops. If it's a desktop machine, the patch may still work, but I've never found it necessary on a desktop machine. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- John Karns jkarns@csd.net
Is this a laptop? If so see if you can set in the BIOS that is should not use 2 pointing / mouse devices at a time. With the one you boot up (external or only pointer (aka cl*t) or touchpad) you can and have to work. BB, Arjen On Saturday 24 March 2001 19:29, Jim Worrest wrote:
