About a week ago they were having problems with their ftp servers due to their hosting
provider, perhaps a similar problem for their web servers. Don't know, I also cannot reach
www.suse.com
I can reach ftp.suse.com

I don't know, but what I can say is that they are unreachable from here as well (East Coast, USA).

They've had a notice posted for the past couple weeks that they are in process of physically moving the SuSE USA facility from one location to another, and that there would be some outages during that period. I don't remember the exact dates they posted, but as I remember, right now is within the forecast time period. They'll be back. Michael -- "# chmod a+x /bin/laden" Michael Nelson San Francisco, CA

I've noticed that, too. I was trying to get to the SDB earlier. I can't contact the com, de, or co.uk sites(they are all one machine: turing.suse.de), but I can contact the cz one. Here's the link to the English SDB page over there in case anybody needs it: http://sdb.suse.cz/en/sdb/html/index.html The unfortunate part is that YOU attempts to get a mirror list from turing.suse.de and it takes a long time to time out and continue with a default list. I was *very* happy, however, to find out that YOU will now happily upgrade your KDE to 2.2.2. Oh joy! -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com

Does this mean I can update my Suse 7.1, kde 2.1.2 more or less automatically with YOU. ?
Apparently, it's for 7.3 only. I hope it becomes a more regular practise though. -- James Oakley Engineering - SolutionInc Ltd. joakley@solutioninc.com http://www.solutioninc.com

All of the web servers are in Germany, everything else is here. -- -ckm
