Hello. I just bought a brand new IDE zip drive, and, of course, would like to use this piece of technology in my Linux. I'am using SuSE 6.2. I have no Idea how to manage this. It is on IDE1 and configured as slave. I tried mount /dev/hdd /mnt -t vfat, but it was an illigal block device ;( Can anybody help me? Make sure your kernel has IDE/ATAPI floppy support and try to mount your zip like this: mount -t vfat /dev/hdd4 /mnt (most preformatted zip disks use the 4th partition for some reason).
