Quick question...
Why does SuSE 6.4 sometimes not put the .config file in /usr/src? I have done 3 installs (Pentium optimized kernel), 1 of which did not have the .config file. Nothing was done to these installs. First thing I did was check for the .config.
Second, where can I get it? Is it on the CDs somewhere?
I think the only time you get a .config is when you install an actual kernel. I know when you install one via yast it will ask you if you want to overwrite the exsisting one. If want one for the kernel you are running just goto the /usr/src/linux directorry and type "make cloneconfig" and it will build you one. Very nice SuSE feature..... At least I think it's SuSE that did that for us. -- Mark Hounschell markh@compro.net -- To unsubscribe send e-mail to suse-linux-e-unsubscribe@suse.com For additional commands send e-mail to suse-linux-e-help@suse.com Also check the FAQ at http://www.suse.com/support/faq

You must not have the lx_suse kernel sources installed. You probably have the generic kernel sources installed.
